What is the greatest human desire? Love? Money? Sex? Unlimited power? And is it possible to achieve all this and not lose face along the way? Paolo Sorrentino (The Great Beauty, Youth), the most successful Italian director of our time, has made a spectacular and provocative tragicomedy. This time Sorrentino's court actor Toni Servillo portrays Silvio Berlusconi – the notorious billionaire, scandal-monger, media mogul and long-time Prime Minister of Italy, who is best known for his eccentric lifestyle and debauched parties known to the world as „bunga bunga“. The film gives an insight into the private life of this controversial figure and offers a glimpse of chilling and often grotesque situations, whether they involve bribing judges, buying the best footballers or seducing young models. It also looks at the kind of people who surround Berlusconi and his ilk and how the cynical mechanism of power works, based on an absolute loss of values, humiliation, egoism and opportunism.

The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was released by KVIFF Distribution in Czech cinemas.
