In the 1960s, Robert Redford buys up land in Utah, and a few years later he establishes a non-commercial film institute called Sundance for young talented filmmakers who want to explore new possibilities and don't want to be swallowed up by the big studios. Gradually, the intimate festival of independent films has become one of the most celebrated film festivals. It is not without interest that the artistic director was the Czech František Daniel.
