A teenage boy, Mahito, moves to a mansion far away from hectic Tokyo. In his new home, he meets a peculiar talking heron who entices him to explore a mysterious abandoned tower. There, Mahito discovers a magical world ruled by a mysterious old man. On his journey of discovery, he meets the brave girl Himi, an army of parrots and the cute creatures of Warawara. In his latest film, animation master Hayao Miyazaki (My Neighbour Totoro, Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke) once again ventures beyond fantasy and dreams to deliver the most anticipated animated film of recent years.
