About

This intimate portrait of the life and career of British singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse uses previously unseen archival footage to tell the London performer’s tragic story in her own words. Winehouse was a once-in-a-generation talent who captured everyone’s attention. But tragically she seemed to fall apart under the relentless media attention, her troubled relationships, her global success, and her precarious lifestyle. The filmmakers conducted more than 100 interviews with Winehouse’s friends and family that, taken together, provide a narrative of the star’s life. The film also plays previously unheard tracks Winehouse recorded before her death.
