Juho Kuosmanen’s second film Compartment No. 6, centred on a young Finnish woman’s journey to the far north of Russia, won the Grand Prix at Cannes in July 2021 and was then screened in 55th KVIFF’s Horizons section. In an interview the director discusses the challenges of shooting on a moving train and the performance of his lead, Seidi Haarla.
