However, from behind the walls of their home, disturbing noises and the occasional desperate scream can be heard. Rudolf Höss is the commander of the Auschwitz concentration camp. Jonathan Glazer's chilling film about the banality of evil took home the Grand Prix at Cannes and won two Academy Awards and three BAFTAs thanks to its exceptional filmmaking.
