About

In one small mountain village they had no priest. So the grandfather, grandmother and the young mother with a sick child in her arms went down to the town to have the child baptized. In the sacristy of the church they found a chaplain. Almost by force, they had to persuade him to carry out the required tasks. And a miracle happened – the child was relieved. The joy and gratitude of the villagers knew no bounds. There was even an offer for the priest to go with them to the mountains, where he was more needed. Who would have guessed at the time that he was a mere churchman, dressed in a priest's robe, trying out blessing gestures… The idea for a light-hearted comedy with elements of satire and hidden parable originated from the work of Josef Škvorecký.
