Silent Inge owns a small farm in a remote village in the north of Iceland. Due to unexpected events, she loses most of her life's security in a matter of days and finds herself up to her ears in debt. Her misfortune is largely due to a greedy farming cooperative whose management bullies local farmers for profit. But when they corner a previously inconspicuous woman, they meet stiff resistance. With nothing left to lose, Inge sets out to fight back. Fearless and determined, she uses every weapon at her disposal – sharp Facebook posts, milk and manure stocks. The story of a strong and stubborn woman is set against the backdrop of the beautiful Icelandic landscape and is laced with a subtle Northern absurdity.
