The most important work by Slovak director and screenwriter Peter Solan, filmed during the "Golden Sixties”. A film offering a new approach to the theme of humiliating of poeple during fascism. It captures the tragedy of a man whose only chance to survive is to become a human target of the concentration camp commander's passion for boxing.
