About

This meditative documentary follows the contemporary life of esteemed translator Anna Karenina. Through personal journals from trips to France and Italy, we journey together to meet the rhythm of the language of Louis-Ferdinand Céline and Ezra Pound. The care with which she approaches the translations of their works is reflected in her concern for her loved ones. The film is largely concerned with her relationship with her late husband, the poet Petr Kabeš, and the loneliness with which the translator had to cope. The delicate touches of Céline, Pound and Kabeš thus mirror the fragile world of a woman who is found by the one she seeks.
