The Australian, Dutch-born director Rolf de Heer personally presented his dystopian, desert-set film The Survival of Kindness at the 57th KVIFF. In an interview the filmmaker discusses his “Covid nimble” approach to shooting, and the film’s exploration of the cruelty of life in a segregated society.
