The famous Swiss-born actor Vincent Perez has been in Karlovy Vary presenting a film he directed, The Edge of the Blade. The compelling costume drama centres on fencing, and dueling, in a time of great change in France. In an interview, Perez says he himself took part in 30 big sword fights in films – and says his own “rage” helped him get the picture made.
