Director Matěj Chlupáček has presented his We Have Never Been Modern in its world premiere in the main competition at KVIFF. The Czech rising talent set the period drama in a growing Baťa-style town in the picturesque foothills of the Tatra Mountains. With a crime thriller plot and a distinctive protagonist, the film explores a number of unconventional themes – which Chlupáček discusses in an interview.
