Alice Diop to KVIFF.TV: I spent happy childhood in Paris suburbs.

The French documentarian Alice Diop has brought her meditative film We, which captures the lives of the people in the suburbs of Paris, to 55th KVIFF. The picture won first prize in the Encounters section at Berlinale 2021. In an interview, she discusses the idea of shooting along one Metro line, and what her film says about the French capital’s suburbs.
