Marek, a young Czech journalist, arrives in besieged Sarajevo. He soon stops
being a foreigner observing activities impersonally through the cold eye of his
videocamera. Firstly as he soon realizes that his own life is also at stake, and
secondly because he is bound to see things differently after having made friends
with young people: Leyla and her boyfriend Adnan, a Muslim. He learnes about
life in streets incessantly under fire, the rules of the black market whis is
the main source of food for Leyla and her family. He records statements made by
the girl and her boyfriend who do not know how much longer they will live and if
they will survive at all. He listens to their simple dreams… like walking down
a street without the fear of being shot by a sniper…
