About

The artistic legacy of Alfons Mucha has two faces – the one popularised worldwide in the form of posters and his decorative works in the field of applied art, and the other, known to us in the Czech Republic, in the form of the painful dispute over the fate of the Slavonic Epic. The story of Alfons Mucha is told by his son Jiří, who is processing his memoirs and writing to come to terms with his father's legacy. Jiří Mucha moves around the premises of an ancient apartment on Hradčany Square, which is full of references to Alfons Mucha. Archival documents, including several never before published, correspondence and Mucha's unpublished memoirs written in the 1930s.
