Bread and Salt
The sovereign debut of Damian Kocur, which resembles a precisely played film score. A spare yet insightful generational statement and a drama about what it is like to return home and be a stranger to oneself.

A lazy summer in a hot Polish housing estate, where all you can do is hang around aimlessly, get drunk and sit at a kebab shop… For Tymoteusz, all this is just a memory he comes to remind himself of during the holidays. Ahead of him is a vision of a stellar career as a piano virtuoso and famous concert halls around the world. At home, he's faced with a slightly distant mother, a younger brother and shady friends with whom he must kill the dragging time of summer. But beneath the panel ambiance of drinking, drugs, flirting and racial provocation, a dark note slowly resonates that foretells impending tragedy.
