The Karlovy Vary Festival is not just about premieres and the red carpet; a key part of it is also the film market and events for film professionals – the KVIFF Eastern Promises Industry Days. This programme consists of several days full of lectures, inspiring forums, workshops, and showcases of films in the treatment or late-production phase, where Czech and Slovak creators can meet with international peers, establish valuable contacts, and present their emerging projects to industry experts and potential co-production and festival partners.

Thanks to the support of the PPF Foundation, the entire Industry Days 2024 program could take place in the impressive space of the Imperial Spa. We were also able to invite foreign experts to speak in Karlovy Vary on broad range of current hot industry topics, from Euro-Asian co-productions to creative licensing and film promotion. The partnership also allows selected talented Czech creators to learn about innovative approaches in other parts of the world through initiative such as the First Cut Lab workshop or the Launchpad, an international platform for young distributors.
