Aleš Najbrt: A good logo sells, it is very difficult to come up with a simple visual

Aleš Najbrt is a graphic designer whose studio has been producing visual identities for KVIFF every year since 1995. The first ideas are born in September, and in November he and the festival management choose the final design. The „whiplash“ of this year's edition is the work of Jakub Spurný. What should a „proper“ design look like? Simplicity is not a dogma, although I like it myself, says Aleš Najbrt. His studio has also developed new visual styles for Prague, Ostrava, Valmez and Modrava, and designed logos for institutions, exhibitions, books and individual brands.
