Jan Nedbal became an actor „by accident“ when he went to audition for Romeo at the theatre in Děčín as a joke. And then, to his surprise, he got the part. He originally graduated from medical school and worked as a certified medical assistant in a hospital. Only then did he study acting, and after his final year he went to Norway for a two-year internship. When he returned, he had a difficult acting position and started from scratch, working behind the bar until he was 30. He was basically discovered by the director Bebjak. His first TV series was Božena, followed by Sestřičky (Little Sisters), Herec (The Actor), Poslední závod (The Last Race) and Krakonoš's Secret. This year he made the film Brothers about the Mašín's brothers and the series Mathematics of Crime, and from autumn he is planning a sequel to the series King of Šumava.
