Román, a bank clerk, hatches a plan which also requires the input of his colleague Morán. The aim is to put an end to backbreaking routine and start living a life of freedom, without the depressing need to keep on worrying about material concerns. But they can’t do this without committing an offence. A sensation at this year’s Cannes film fest, this stylish fresco is reminiscent in its structure of an unputdownable novel.
