Christine Vachon, producer of legendary American indie films (e.g. Todd Haynes' Poison and Far from Heaven , Kimberly Pierce's Oscar-winning drama Boys Don't Cry, Larry Clark's Kids and Todd Solondz's Happiness ) is one of the few producers who have always chosen the indie cinema route.
