The jaded detective Travis Hurley arrives in a small town in order to investigate the 20-year-old disappearance of the aboriginal girl Charlotte. The local inhabitants are initially skeptical of the white newcomer, but his stoic nature soon gets them to reveal old secrets and open up their hearts.
