The 58th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival successfully hosted the tenth edition of the Future Frames project. This project, a collaboration between the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and European Film Promotion, presented a selection of ten of the most important emerging directors from across Europe. Selected students and graduates of film schools screened their films at this year's festival and took part in a special promotional and networking programme. Future Frames supports up-and-coming directors not only by presenting their films, but also by mentoring and meeting film professionals, allowing them to establish key relationships in the industry. In addition, a month-long residency in Los Angeles, provided by Allwyn, is available for one selected director. This year, Danish filmmaker William Sehested Høeg won this opportunity with his film The Complaint (Sammen er du mere).
