Film Tips from Theo
Before this year's Palm Dog Award winners are announced at Cannes, we asked a canine member of our team for his personal film tips.
Boiling Point – „As
a dog, a food loving creature, I have to say that this foodie thriller, awarded
at 55. KVIFF is more thrilling than the moment a kibble falls under my couch.
The camera moves like a chef between pots – fast, precise and without any
unnecessary bullshit. And the pressure in the kitchen? It's almost like I'm
waiting to see if they'll finally throw something off the plate!“
Dreams About Stray
Cats – „Looking at this portrait by Petr Sís is like snooping on
strange footsteps in an evening park – a little mysterious, a little poetic
and full of strange smells. As a vipet, I'm used to order, but this film showed
me that even chaos can be beautiful when you watch it quietly on the couch. And
the cats? I don't get them, but I can't take my eyes off them.“
Planet Prague – „This
documentary is like cinema in the park for me – so many squirrels that
I almost barked at the screen! As a vipet, I'm thrilled with every shot of
something jumping, running or rustling in the leaves. Planet Prague showed me
that even a city can be full of adventure… and maybe even hidden nuts.“
