Graphic designer Aleš Najbrt recommends three films that our viewers should not miss.
Romper Stomper –
I discovered this film on KVIFF.TV and it was a bit of a revelation. A wild
story about a bunch of skinheads dealing with immigrants to Australia in their
own way, starring a very young Russell Crowe.
The Wolf
from Royal Vineyard Street – Jan Nemec has always been a favourite of
mine, and he never hid anything. His latest autobiographical film is a very open
and uncompromising narrative, even to himself. Sometimes sad, but always wild
and raw.
Kneecap – Sex, drugs and rap.
The true story of contemporary Irish boys starting a band and making it big
against the backdrop of Irish emancipation. The story of Shane MacGowan of The
Pogues repeats itself. I want to go to their show!
