Mr. and Mrs. Stodola

Jaroslav and Dana are a young couple who live in a quiet village where all the inhabitants know each other well. Looking for easy money, they decide to rob their lonely old neighbour, whom Jaroslav kills in the process. To their surprise, the police accept the pensioner's violent death almost automatically as an accident and take no further interest in the case. This leads the Stodolos to think that the elderly are easy victims not only for petty theft but also for murder. There is no turning back, Dana has grown fond of the power over her victims and the strange adventurous feeling of victory over the police. Jaroslav finds himself at a crossroads where he has a chance to walk away from Dana, but fails and must face the consequences of his and her crimes. The brutal murders were closely related to their relationship, a picture of dependency and mutual manipulation from which neither could emerge victorious.
