Holy Cow
It takes time to mature. This is true of cheese and people. One of the unexpected audience hits of the Cannes Film Festival, it stands out for its graceful direction and the authentic performances of its child non-actors.

The Jura region of rural France is famous for its dairy cows, agricultural festivals and delicious Comté cheese. In an outwardly idyllic setting, Totone, a troubled teenager, grows up spending most of his time hanging out with a bunch of friends. When his father dies, he is suddenly faced with unexpected responsibilities for the family farm and his younger sister. Totone has to stand on his own two feet, and it wouldn't be him who doesn't come up with an original shortcut: he decides to make the most delicious Comté cheese. There's a small catch: he knows absolutely nothing about cheese-making. You Cow! is a ripe debut that benefits from the energy of great non-actors and a setting where you learn the most by punching your nose hard.
