About

Erin Brockovich is a twice-divorced mother of three. And she's been unemployed and nearly penniless. When she finally manages to land a job as the newest secretary at Ed Masry's law firm, she is determined to grab her chance. While researching a trivial case, she stumbles upon a trail of groundwater pollution by a power company. The effects the toxic chromium has left on the residents of the nearby desert town are catastrophic – malignant diseases, genetic changes, miscarriages. Erin gains the trust of the affected people and her boss and begins to build a big case. The hand of her previously unfortunate fate is finally turned… The film is based on a true story.
