About

From the moment nine-year-old Samay falls in love with the film, he never misses a day that he doesn't sneak into the cinema. This „obsession“ with film spreads to his group of friends and together they try to build a projector. However, his father, who owns a small tea stall at the local train station, isn't exactly thrilled with his son's plans and Samay has to endure several beatings to „cure“ him of his fondness for film. In Last Film Show, you visit a cinema in rural India where chanting and clapping audiences are active participants in every screening.
